Before the trouble ticket: How Windstream Wholesale automates fiber fault localization

When every second counts, fiber operators can’t afford delays in identifying and resolving faults. Traditional fault response processes are often manual, time-consuming, and reliant on customer-reported issues—putting network performance and SLAs at risk.

As fiber builds accelerate and network complexity increases, service providers need scalable solutions that deliver speed, accuracy, and real-time visibility. Join Windstream Wholesale, VIAVI, and 3-GIS to explore how integrating remote fiber monitoring with geospatial intelligence is helping teams move from reactive to proactive fault response.

In this on-demand session, presenters dive into Windstream Wholesale’s process that links real-time fault detection to precise network asset data, enabling:

  • Instant detection of full and partial fiber cuts—before customers even report them
  • Automated fault correlation with exact GPS locations and network assets
  • Fewer truck rolls and faster repair times through streamlined coordination
