Challenge

  • After completing most of their copper-to-fiber conversion, Tbaytel needed to enhance how they managed their growing fiber network. Their systems were fragmented—limited use of Ericsson Network Engineer (ENE) for posting as-builts and separate CAD environments for network design. This setup created bottlenecks and made it difficult to maintain consistent, real-time visibility across the network.

Problem

  • Outdated tools and siloed systems introduced duplicate data entry and reduced efficiency. Without a centralized view of their network, Tbaytel faced extended project delays and increased operational risk—especially when managing and expanding their fiber infrastructure across Ontario.

Solution

  • Tbaytel implemented 3-GIS | Web, 3-GIS | Admin, and 3-GIS | Mobile as part of an on-premises deployment designed to modernize their fiber network management approach.
  • A key part of the project is the migration of Tbaytel’s ENE data into 3-GIS | Web, creating a single source of truth and enabling teams to manage the network more effectively.
  • The new solution provides real-time visibility, streamlined workflows, and a stable platform to support everything from network planning to service activation.
