Focus on the cake, not the cherry!

Webinar: Chasing features or building foundations?

As fibre networks expand, so do the challenges of managing physical network inventory (PNI). With increasing complexity, security risks, and rising maintenance demands, many operators are realising that their current systems aren’t built for the future.

Yet, in the rush to modernise, it’s tempting to focus on the latest tools and features. But without a scalable, reliable core system, these add-ons won’t solve underlying inefficiencies. It’s like putting the cherry on a cake that hasn’t been baked—true success starts with a strong foundation.

In this webinar, we’ll explore what a future-ready PNI system looks like —one that ensures operational efficiency, scalability, and long-term growth. From asset tracking and data synchronisation to security and open-source trade-offs, we’ll share practical strategies to help you navigate the modernisation process with confidence.

Presenters will cover:

  • What to look for in a large scale PNI solution
  • How to avoid the trap of prioritising new features over scalability
  • Understanding security considerations and challenges
  • Strategies to enhance usability, performance, and data accuracy
