Turning inspections into action: Closing the gap between documentation and repair

About the presenters:

Eric Kappmeier – Operational Applications Supervisor, Modesto Irrigation District
Eric oversees operational application systems at Modesto Irrigation District, an independent public utility serving more than 133,500 customers across California's Central Valley. He led MID's shift from a paper-based inspection process to a GIS-based mobile system now used to track inspections and repairs across approximately 45,000 facilities and 38,000 poles. In this session, he shares how that change improved inspection compliance, reduced emergency repair costs, and gave MID full visibility into the health of its field assets.
